2009 W204 C63 Wagon, when these ceased production, the normally aspirated V8 went too – all 6.2litres of it. A V8 muscle car from Germany.
These AMG tuned cars were powered by Mercedes’ M156 E62 KE engine, the station wagons version of the AMG were only available in certain markets. The 7 Speed transmission features a manual mode, this locks up the torque converter which reduces transmission slip and will allow in gear engine braking. A 6.2litre quad cam V8 squeezed into a C class sized car should make most realise that this was aimed directly at the M3, which had also become a V8 in this generation. With a redline @ 8000rpm and not shy in getting there. A multilink rear suspension and a multilink/strut style front suspension, lots of lightweight aluminium and stiff body structure, the C63 had all the tools and used them well in the compact super saloon arena.
This car speaks for itself, 72.5km (approx.), finished in Calcite White with a Black/Anthracite interior. The Command system is in English with NZ maps a DVD player, Bluetooth and factory reversing camera. It has two keys and has truly little use, kept for high days and holidays.

The ’63’ badge is a hark back to the days when AMG started racing a Mercedes with an engine based on the 6.3litre Mercedes V8, although this did get taken out to 6.8litres! That is why there is a 63 badge on a vehicle with a 6.2litre engine and nowadays the same badge is on vehicles with a 4.0 litre engine.
